Autologus Plasma Graft Storage and BioFUE enhances hair transplant growth!

Hair Grafts Storage in Plasma

Autologous plasma, a component of autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP), plays a significant role in enhancing the success and efficacy of hair transplants. During a hair transplant procedure, autologous plasma is utilized for the storage of hair grafts, offering numerous benefits that contribute to improved outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Firstly, autologous plasma serves as a natural reservoir of growth factors, cytokines, and other bioactive molecules that promote tissue repair and regeneration. By storing hair grafts in autologous plasma, these growth factors are preserved and readily available to nourish and support the transplanted hair follicles. This leads to faster healing, reduced inflammation, and enhanced graft survival, ultimately resulting in thicker, healthier hair growth.

Furthermore, using autologous plasma for graft storage minimizes the risk of graft dehydration and damage during the transplantation process. The plasma provides a protective environment, maintaining the viability of the grafts and preventing desiccation, which is crucial for ensuring optimal graft survival and long-term results.

In addition to its regenerative properties, autologous plasma offers the advantage of being derived from the patient’s own blood, eliminating the risk of allergic reactions or transmission of infections. This makes it a safe and reliable option for use in hair transplant procedures, particularly for individuals with sensitivities or concerns about foreign substances.

Supplementing autologous plasma with vitamins such as B12, folate, and biotin further enhances its therapeutic effects and supports hair health. B vitamins, including B12 and folate, play key roles in cell metabolism, DNA synthesis, and tissue repair, all of which are essential for promoting hair growth and follicle regeneration. Biotin, a B-complex vitamin, is particularly known for its role in strengthening hair and nails, contributing to overall hair quality and vitality.

By incorporating these vitamins into autologous plasma, either through supplementation prior to collection or through fortification of the plasma after preparation, the nourishing properties of the plasma are amplified. This synergistic approach provides an enriched environment for the transplanted hair follicles, optimizing their growth potential and enhancing the overall aesthetic outcome of the procedure.

It’s important to note that while autologous plasma supplemented with B12, folate, and biotin offers numerous benefits for hair transplant patients, individual responses may vary. Therefore, thorough consultation with a qualified healthcare professional is essential to determine the most appropriate treatment plan based on the patient’s unique needs and medical history.

In summary, the importance of using autologous plasma for hair graft storage during a hair transplant cannot be overstated. Its natural regenerative properties, protective benefits, and safety profile make it an invaluable adjunct to the transplantation process. When supplemented with B12, folate, and biotin, autologous plasma offers an enhanced therapeutic approach that promotes optimal graft survival, accelerates healing, and improves overall hair quality and growth.

Introduction:
Hey there, fellas of Pune! Let’s talk about something that’s been on a lot of our minds lately: hair transplant price in Pune. Whether you’re in your twenties, thirties, forties, or beyond, the struggle with hair loss can hit us at any age. And with the abundance of hair transplant clinics popping up all over Pune, it’s tempting to jump on the bandwagon and go for the cheapest option available. But before you do, let me share with you the shocking truth about hair transplant prices and why it’s crucial to think twice before opting for a bargain deal.

Understanding Hair Transplant Prices:
Alright, let’s break it down. You’ve probably heard that the cost of a hair transplant can vary widely depending on a bunch of factors. And it’s true! The extent of your hair loss, the technique used, the reputation of the surgeon, the quality of the facilities – all of these play a role in determining the final price tag. Take it from me, as someone who’s been in the business for years, there’s a reason why some clinics charge more than others. It’s not just about lining their pockets; it’s about investing in top-notch equipment, hiring skilled staff, and providing exceptional care from start to finish.

The Temptation of Cheap Hair Transplants:
Now, I get it. Money doesn’t grow on trees, and when you see those too-good-to-be-true offers for dirt-cheap hair transplants, it’s hard not to be tempted. But here’s the thing: when it comes to something as important as your appearance and your health, cutting corners is never a good idea. Trust me, I’ve seen my fair share of botched jobs done by fly-by-night operators who promise the world for a fraction of the cost. And let me tell you, the results ain’t pretty. From wonky hairlines to nasty infections, trying to save a few bucks can end up costing you big time in the long run.

The Dangers of Unqualified Practitioners:
Now, I don’t mean to scare you, but it’s time to talk about the elephant in the room: unqualified practitioners. Yep, they’re out there, lurking in the shadows, ready to pounce on unsuspecting guys looking for a quick fix. These so-called “hair transplant experts” may not have the proper training or credentials to perform surgical procedures safely and effectively. And believe me, I’ve seen the fallout firsthand. Just last month, I had a guy come into my clinic with a horror story straight out of a nightmare. Turns out, he’d gone to one of these shady operators and ended up with a scalp that looked like a patchwork quilt. Needless to say, it took a lot of time and money to fix the mess.

Choosing Quality Over hair transplant price in Pune:
So, what’s the takeaway from all this? Simple: don’t skimp on quality when it comes to something as important as your hair. Sure, it might cost you a bit more upfront to go to a reputable clinic with experienced surgeons but trust me when I say it’s worth every penny. When you choose quality over cost, you’re not just investing in a procedure – you’re investing in your confidence, your self-esteem, and your overall well-being. And hey, isn’t that what matters most?

Will my hair transplant look natural? Will it look like normal hair? Will the transplanted hair stand out as if something unnatural has been done? So many questions occupy a person’s mind when doing a hair transplant. And all of these are genuine questions. The answer is: It depends. Hair Transplant has to be done by the hair transplant surgeon himself/herself: This should be the most important criterion when choosing the hair transplant centre. How many times do i need to visit the clinic for a hair transplant follow-up?

Fortunately, Hair Transplant follow-up is not a very hectic chore. And this is good news for people coming from abroad or other cities for their hair transplants. After a hair transplant, we keep a follow-up over WhatsApp or email only. There is no need to visit in clinic multiple times after a hair transplant. The protocol that we currently follow after a hair transplant is very easy to follow and includes a timetable for what to do for the first 7 days after a hair transplant. After this, not much is needed and all the follow-ups are done remotely. Hair Transplant and its first 7 days are the most important time.

A typical hair transplant goes as follows:

  1. If you contact us for a Hair Transplant Contact, either via WhatsApp or email, you will get an approximate cost for your hair transplant
  2. Then we will book the date for your hair transplant.
  3. You are advised to arrive a day prior to the date of the hair transplant. In this visit, we plan for the hair transplant including the grafts required, hairline designing, and the final cost.
  4. Tests are done on the same day. These are simple blood tests needed for safety.
  5. Next day to two your hair transplant will be conducted.
  6. After the hair transplant, you will be given detailed instructions on how to wash the planted grafts, how to take the dressing off, and what medications to take. These instructions are for 7 days. During this time you are advised to to send daily updates with photos of donor and planted areas via WhatsApp.
  7. On the 7th day, we place a video or audio call instructing you how to get rid of the scabs.
  8. Scabs come off in two to three days’ time and after that, we ask you to update via WhatsApp on a monthly basis. No need to visit the clinic during this time.

*If needed patients can visit anytime to resolve queries and doubts after hair transplant. We do not charge for hair transplant follow-up consultations.

All this time you should at least keep at the minimum 5 days free for your hair transplant. For people who can work from home, there is no need to take leaves in post-hair transplant time.

Pyrilutamide for hair loss.

Tushar Kshirsagar

Pyrilutamide for androgenetic alopecia

Pyrilutamide is a drug that has been investigated for its potential use in treating androgenetic alopecia, which is a common form of hair loss in both men and women. Androgenetic alopecia is caused by a combination of genetic and hormonal factors, and it results in the progressive miniaturization of hair follicles, leading to thinning hair and eventual baldness.

Pyrilutamide works by inhibiting the activity of 5-alpha-reductase, which is an enzyme that converts testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone that is implicated in the development of androgenetic alopecia. By reducing the levels of DHT in the scalp, pyrilutamide may be able to slow or even reverse hair loss.

However, it’s important to note that pyrilutamide is not currently approved by the FDA for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia, and its safety and efficacy for this use have not been fully established. Clinical trials are ongoing to evaluate the potential of pyrilutamide and other 5-alpha-reductase inhibitors for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia. In the meantime, there are other FDA-approved treatments, such as minoxidil and finasteride, that have been shown to be effective in treating this condition. It’s best to consult with a healthcare professional to discuss the most appropriate treatment options for your individual situation

Can You Shave your head after a hair transplant?

A common question from the patients that we come across is whether they can shave their heads after a hair transplant whenever they want to. Short answer would be yes you can shave your head after hair transplant, however the look of the scalp after shaving is different over the planted area and donor area.

Shaving the Planted area: Hair transplant is basically taking hair from permanent donor zones of the scalp and planting them over the bald areas. Once the hair grafts settle in and the skin heals, the hairs become part of the skin structure. This means that once the hairs grow, you can shave them, trim them yet they will grow back. They grow just like natural hairs grow.

Left: How it looks like when the donor area is shaved after a hair transplant. Right: Donor area with hair completely covers the extraction sites, so no marks of a hair transplant will remain.

Shaving the Donor areas: Shaving the donor area, although not harmful, may expose the donor extraction sites. These are basically the site from where the hair follicle is missing. So if you shave the scalp over the donor area, it will appear as if the intermittent hairs are missing. This is actually an inevitable consequence of doing a hair transplant. However, even if you keep your hairs slightly longer than complete shaving, other surrounding hairs cover these missing areas completely. So you can shave the donor area, but the missing hairs will be visible, but if you keep hairs short, this won’t be a problem. Once the hairs grow sufficiently long, its not possible to see any mark of hair transplant.
